in V8V, where you would put the jack to connect the ipod or in your case the USB flash drive.
in the glove box does not seem the most suitable place.
in that place you have it you, think V8V 2006.could be put at the center where the ashtray, do you think, I look for an accessible and comfortable
Greetings.

I have my iPhone in a cradle that sits just above my right knee. It works well integrating satellite radio, iPod, Pandora and my telephone. It was a custom job. The cradle is part of the XM Skydock system. I love it.

How are you connecting your ipod/iphone? The 06 was not prewired for it.

In fact it was not prewired, so I try to know, where it would be better to install it, do it yourself.

There is an AM retrofit kit. It costs about $1,000 plus dealer install. It places a cable/connector in the glove box. Do a search as I am 99.9% certain I uploaded info on this before.

Had my Aston kit installed at the dealer. I had them put the USB plug and the iphone/ipod plug in the sunglass holder in the armrest. Can't see the USB and the Iphone is still accessible.

I think a couple hundred for the install. From what I remember it was 1200 for the kit and 1400 and change installed.

I'm working on a solution to put an iPod , USB port, and Bluetooth on my 07 V8V myself. The goal is to control them all from the infotainment system. If I'm successful, I will post pictures and steps of my project on here in about a week. Stay tune(d) (pun intended).

I had a pro install the JL Audio adopt. kit in my 2007 V8V. All in glove box - XM face plate & iPod connector. Down side - can not be controlled by AM dash system.

How did they do? I'd like to have this, but I am worried about people tearing up the center console. I have piano wood without GPS and have kept in good shape.

I started work on my 07 V8V (without nav) iPod/USB/Bluetooth Audio integration project last night. So far I have everything working and I can control it all from the built-in AM Premium Audio system. It's cool to have it stream music from the iPhone 4 in my pockect It even displays my artists, albums, genres, playlists, etc. from my iPod on the car's infotainment display. My remaining task is to determine where to permanently install the components and conceal the cables. I will be posting more details about this soon.
