I used to be into extensive builds did a few of them, my last being my SL55 AMG where I dumped 25 grand on perfromance, mods...headers, renntech, floored fab you name it, pulleys custom stuff, tuneing etc...etc...etc... car itself was 150 grand not to mention the 25 grand in mods...I'll be lucky to get $45K for it, and it's perfect inside/out, drives awesome...comes with CSC warranty and makes 600+ hp/750+ tq at the rear wheels!! Car is currenlty for sale if you or anyone else here knows a buyer please send them my way!
I love modding I just hate loosing my shirt on re-sale, and it's happened time after time with projects I've done...they cheer you on while you're doing the build then when you go to sell everyone tears you down telling you why they shouldn't pay what you're asking no matter how reasonable you are, even if you take a huge hit, they're always trying to lowball

For me, this project became an obsession. I do not sell the car one day because too much time and money invested.
The only solution: never, ever sell!
But the project is not finished, the power will soon exceed 550 hp ... but chutttt it's a secret...
