Speed Humps and the Vantage
Speed Humps and the Vantage
I unfortunately live on a street with speed humps and am in the market for a V8V. To answer your first question, no, moving is not an option
.
My question is whether is whether the V8V handles speed humps without difficulty 1) in stock config and 2) with any degree of lowering. By 'humps' I mean the long base speed humps, not the short sharp 'bump' variety.
MTIA for your thoughts and comments.

I get a few that come into the shop with H&R springs, handle the speed bumps fine..the long longs are no prob, the short and high ones I just stagger to be safe
My car is lowered a good amount and I don't have too much trouble with the wider speed bumps (just need to go at a little bit of an angle), but it's the normal speed bumps where it becomes a little tricky. The fact that my front splitter makes the nose of the car even lower doesn't help either ...

I have 5 that I have to pass over each time I leave my sub or return home and there is no problem at all (I take them at like 12-15mph). In fact due to the stiffness of the sportpack susp. it is actually more comfortable than in the wife's A4.... well certainly less bouncy.
I've always thought the stock height was very low to begin with. After lowering it with the RSC springs, i do have some trouble with steep driveways and speed humps. In fact if i ever valet the vehicle i always keep it up front so they won't drive it into a parking garage for safety.
