Side Mirror Covers

Does anyone now how to take the side mirror covers off on a V8 Vantage?
I want to try to warp the covers and taking them off would make things a lot easier.

thanks

They just clip on, the tabs are part of the cover...the clips aren't made to be removed, you really have no access to remove them. Usually the only time I've replaced them is in accident cases, I simply rip the old one off and fit the new painted one in place...there the same as 2005+ Volvo S40 mirrors minus the flasher s40 has in mirror

So do you think I can take them off without damaging them?

You might being that you've never done it before, I don't see you damaging the casing if your carefull(use a plastic/nylon panel tool to avoid damaging casing)..as for damaging the clips that lock, yes

But nothing epoxy cannot solve..lol

Why are you trying to warp the covers?? are they warped and your trying to get them back to shape??

I was going to wrap them with a clear bra or carbon fiber vinyl.
I can do it with it in place but it would like nice if I can wrap the edges which requires removing the cover

Oh ok, well the clips are pretty tight..just thinking if you did remove without any damage, wrap thickness(0.5mm-1mm+/-) might be to thick for the clips to stay secured when you try to refit the cover

Mine were wrapped without removing. There is about 1/8-inch gap at the edge of the cover which doesn't bother me, it's hardly noticeable. The main issue is to protect the forward part of the cover from stone damage, which my wrapping does.
