Good Bye to my Vantage
Good Bye to my Vantage
Hi guys, I just want to thank all the members of this forum ( Aston Martin ) for all the help and advice, for sure I learned a lot of stuff that made my car a better car and its been a great experience owning the most beautiful car in the market.
I traded my vantage for a 06 manual gallardo, I just need a change and the v12 vantage is not in my budget yet.
For sure I will be back to Aston Martin latter on.
One thing I can tell you, I feel way nicer driving an Aston than driving a Lamborghini lol. ( I just like the noise and the performance of the Lamborghini)
Thank you guys!
And even that I don't own a vantage anymore I will keep my user name.

Good bye to my Vantage (twice for me)
I had two Vantages over the past few years. I traded my 09 roadster that I bought new for an 08 Gallardo Spider recently. Aston Martin still is my first favorite of them all. I will always be partial to Aston Martin. The Lambo is totally a different car. I wanted to try something new. You and I can always go back to Aston Martin one day. The quality and reliability of Aston Martin cars matches their looks. As for the Lamborghini...enjoy the "wild fun". Lambos bring out the "bad guy" in people. CHECK YOUR OIL ONCE A WEEK IN THE GALLARDO....do not drip oil from where you add oil, right below it is the catalytic converter. Have fun...

Oh most assuredly I will be back. Going from a V8 to a V10 is a nice change. I must say however, the V8 4.7 was not slow at all and could take care of itself on the open roads. I loved the torque in the engine. I have a GTR as my dd and the Gallardo as the weekend toy. I miss Aston enough that I might just trade the GTR one day and get a pre-owned Vantage coupe. Would love to have a V12 Vantage and a Gallardo AND a GTR at the sametime...but my last name is not Rockefeller.

When I showed this thread to my wife she wanted to cry.
For sure I will be back in the form of V12 vantage.
I'll try not to leave the forum so I can be ready for my next Aston.

Haha, I see a trend forming!
Its funny how none have jumped ship to Ferrari. Says something about a true aston driver lol
With that said I too agree, Aston will always have a special place in my heart. Drove a stock V8V the other day and I realized how much I missed the old girl. I will say though, next time I will get the upgraded interior (which is why I am leaning towards carbon black V12 or DBS).
Congrats on the change.

Racer X, you're the "last of the Mohicans". Ed took good care of me and advised me well. The color combination on the Gallardo was very rare and acceptable for this Aston Martin driver. A couple of folks in the gang still have their Astons. Do not trade that V12 Vantage Racer X!!! I figured the next time I saw you, I would let you know of a website that listed the V12 Vantage as easily a collector one day; that we'll see at auctions commanding some strong figures. We will read about V12Vs being restored in Aston Martin Magazine one day in Newport Pagnell. Buy a Gallardo from Ed to go with the V12V. I may keep the GTR or trade it for a V8V because I still miss an Aston Martins.
Howdy,
I see you are in Atlanta. Is "Ed" by chance Ed Bolian? If so, he was the original salesman for my 09 DB9 when the car was new.
