Accident= opportunity

I mis-judged my garage (totally sober) and the garage won & I now need to replace my front bumper. Can I add one that has the front sensors... This was an option missing on my 07 Vantage & I obviously need it. Thoughts?
Also, is the RSC CF splitter a pain in the ***? Looks great but if it's constantly scraping then perhaps its not a good idea. Again, thoughts?
Thanks.

I don't think you can add front sensors. But I would need to check. Can't do anything until Monday. Sorry.

just put a sticky on the wall. when the mirror meets that sticky, you know when to stop. no need for front sensor unless you do a lot of parallel parking.

Thanks Fixer... While you're checking, how about replacing the front bumper with that of a 2012 Vantage S?

Just drop a string from the ceiling with a little ducky hanging from it. When your windscreen touches the duck... you duck and you're done!! Does not require electricity, works always. Guaranteed!

i line myself up with my air compressor

hanging a tennis ball (or rubber ducky lol) to touch your windshield is pretty common, too. i wouldn't mind doing that myself, but Telum's Law states that "for any object hanging from the ceiling, regardless of its position relative to my destination while passing through the garage, I will always walk into the object."

This is exactly what I do... I have a tandem 2 car garage - one car behind the other est. 37 ft depth (live in the city), for each car I use a simple duct tape marker on the wall to line up with each cars mirror as I back into place... Regardless of the order of the cars it works well to line them up... Bear in mind the markers are estimates, still have a few ft front and back as a buffer, but the system is simple and has worked well

To clarify: I hit the side entrance of the garage while I was turning into it. I have a two x four on the floor to prevent me from going too far. Stupidity at its finest.

Ok, so looking at this. Im gonna say no to the park aid sensors. There would have to be a lot of wire harness replacement and /or wiring that would need to be done in order to make it work.

As far has the Vantage S. I dont see why that would not fit. All the mountings are the same. You can get a bumper without PDC. The only thing here would be cost. The carbon front lower spoiler is $4000, the bumper is $1200 not painted. Then you would need a new lower grill, $205 and all the fixxings $100. Let's not forget the labor.....any where from 4-5 hours.

I think the Park distance sensor system on the Aston are horrible, second only to the horrific sat nav. I say this because the sensors start beeping crazily when you still have 5 ft left to back up...you are better off opening your door and looking as you back up.

best PD control system = Mercedes Benz.

Thanks AM-FIXER... I owe you one. I just dropped the car off at the body shop... back to driving the Audi A4 Avant.

Here's an idea for you ... by all accounts, this is the most effective laser jammer there is ... however, when you install it, it also provides front parking assist functionality. You do need to run wire into the ****pit so that the alarms can be heard. If you're redoing the front bumper, why not? Then you get phenomenal stealth laser jamming along with it?

AXARUNNER, You could also get the new 2012MY V8V front bumper which is the similar to the one of the V8VS and V12V but without the use of Carbon Fiber and thus cheaper.
