Vantage V8 Antenna Modification - Cheap
I've not been much a fan of the whip FM antenna on my 07 Vantage. It makes the car look dated and detracts from the overall form. So, I found a small 2" shorty antenna that screws right onto the mount for a few bucks and you can swap them out in less than a minute. I'm definitely liking the lower profile look. Here's the link if anyone is interested:

That's not too bad stock
I do like your modded version better my VW 337 has the same look as your new upgraded antenna the shorter one and I think the look is nice. Do you think a BMW-like sharkfin antenna may have looked nice on the Vantage either from factory or aftermarket?

I occasionally have my FM radio on (I know I'll take a lot of flack for that statement!) but how is the reception with the "shorty" antenna? Is there any noticeable loss of performance in picking up (distant) stations? Thanks...
It moves to the windscreen on the 4.7

And it's also moved to the windscreen on the 2008 Vantage V8. When Aston moved it to the windscreen that must have given them more room to install Cup Holders in the 2008 as well.
