I know the calipers and rotors changed but did the pads? I am considering aftermarket pads and need to know if they will fit. Thanks.

No. The V8VS and newer Vantages have 6 piston calipers so the pads are larger.

Thanks for the replies. Any aftermarket pads available yet for the larger brakes yet like Carbotech or porterfield?

^^^^Even if none already exists, Porterfield can create a set for you. They need a trace template of the pad in 1:1 scale and the pad thickness specifications for the Aston application. I did this about 15 years ago for my Esprit which has factory Brembo brakes. The good thing is that it only needs to be done once by one individual. Once they match up the template to an existing on from their inventory or create a new one, it will always be available for everyone else.

Carbotech can create a custom set for you no problem, that's what I did when I had the first Aston sets ever made. If you want a great dustless zero noise street pad for the Aston I HIGHLY recommend their 1521 pad compound. It's the best street pad IMO.

That's good to know Porterfield and Carbotech will "play ball" on these.
I've got just under 10k miles on my S now so may well need some fronts soon.

I have been exchanging emails with Brenda at EBC brakes. She is getting the deminsion s from Aston Martin and is trying to get me a part number that will fit the '12 Vantage S. I will post up here when I get a solid answer from her.

The only rotors you cannot use Carbotech on are Racingzbrake rotors, but those aren't even made for Aston so thasts a non-issue. On brembos they were fantastic once broken in. Excellent cold bite, no dust, zero noise whatsoever. I still need to have them make a set of EBRAKE pads for our cars, once I get my next Aston here in the next month or so I will add that to the list.
