The Carfax shows 1 service record. I would be very careful without an inspection.

Would I? No.

What is interesting? Does it have records..... Accident/damage history? Do you have a paint meter?

Get a PPI give yourself the peace of mind. It's an exotic, it's a British supercar and it's an Aston, it needs an inspection. What do you mean by the pricing is "interesting"?

^^^ Do a PPI even if they want $64K for the car, one detrimental damage on that car can run 10K or even $30+ grand for major repairs or replacements., ask them if you can fly in a day ahead and bring somebody to do a PPI prior to signing the paperwork if the car checks out.

More often than not there is a good reason why its priced that way. I would much rather have an older car with a little more miles as long as it has a good service history. If you are not mechanically inclined there is no way I would buy one of these cars without an inspection. You obviously have no idea what part prices cost on these things.. Any type of mediocre work that would need to be done is easily 5k.. shoot, just a key is a grand!

I wish you well but I have a feeling you might get bitten pretty hard.

I bought the car.
The dealer sent me a video of the car and a video of the engine running,
sounds good no engine knock.
Honestly i have seen db9 sell with blown engine for 50 000,
i have owned a 1997 lotus esprit v8, 1995 f 355 and a 2004 360 modena i don t think a db9
is less reliable than the f 355.
I am a mecanic,my job is building rally cars, beleive me the engine in a db9
can t be less reliable than a sti engine.
I will keep you guys updated when i get the car,i will also make a full inspection, leak down test and oil analysis.

Good luck with it. Hopefully the dealer isn't playing you. Seems odd they couldn't sell it local at that price..

First thing I would do is throw it on a lift and check the body for damage. Usually when things are to good to be true they usually are..

Looking at that list of cars I suppose you're right, it would have to be the worst DB9 ever to have higher repair cost and frequency than that lot! LOL

Anyway, congratulations Swapshop. Please post some pics or even let us have a look at the dealer video.

You can sometimes get a good deal like this just because the dealer doesn't want the car to sit - especially in the winter. I remember when I was looking for mine I came across one that checked out and was much cheaper than the one I ended up buying, I just walked away in the end because it wasn't the specific color that I really wanted and the dealer p$$d me off during negotiations.
