New to AM
Hi all,
I have always been a fan of AM's and finally got my first one 3 weeks ago - a 2012 Virage Volante in Lightning Silver. It is an amazing car to drive and one that wants to be driven.
One question I get asked a lot (and never tire of answering) - Is it everything you thought it would be? Answer - YES!!

Juan,
Welcome to most helpful Aston-Martin site you'll find. Since you live in NorCal you may be interested in a local Aston Organization:
ASTON ELITE is a California car club for Aston Martin owners who have the taste, means, time and desire to live the "good life." Our tongue-in-cheek club motto is, "What would Bond do?" Our club objective is to have fun and make new friends while driving our Astons. Though many of our events involve spirited drives on challenging roads, we are more couples/social oriented, rather than concours/track oriented. Typical events include dinner parties; wine tasting runs to Napa/Sonoma; visits to the Tahoe area; and always at the finest of facilities, with lots of Aston Martinis - shaken, not stirred. There are no club fees or dues. Please see our website at www.astonelite.com.

Thanks all - I'm sure you can appreciate that a car like this has to have some kind of "Wife Acceptance Factor". There is no rationalization that would have made sense to her, but it did help for her to see what it took to flip the Vanquish in Skyfall. To top it off, I think she momentarily forgot who she was talking to and said "If it will make you happy, get it". Got to appreciate a woman that understands our basic needs. LOL
But she fell in love with the car as well, and especially appreciates how light the doors are compared to BMW's.

Funny story about the Wife, Juan. We've got kids so my wife doesn't get to spend too much time in the Aston....but loves to. She became more and more okay with the decision the more I took her out. It's really just an excuse to spend some time with two things I love! Hey, you be careful though....she may want to drive it. Wouldn't that be an interesting survey...how many of us let our spouses drive our cars?....
Congratulations. Welsome to a cool cast of characters here....and very helpful enthusiasts.
Don't let it stay bottled up....Enjoy your decision!
