Why not use the forum search tools? This has been discussed numerous times.

I did and didnt find as much current info as i hoped for comparing the different systems as a concealed install. Actually only found one!

I actually like this setup but before i get it done wanted to get some extra opinions from experience
I hear the V1 is great too but not sure about the kind of install i am looking for..

Do you have any experience with any of this systems with this kind of install? would love to get your input

I have used a V-1 for years, and the thing I like most about this unit is I know if the Radar is coming from in Front of me or Behind--it's the only detector that does that. I have a very simple installation. I put a small piece of Velcro on the dash near the windshield and one on the bottom of the V-1. I can see the V-1 warning easily, and if I'm about to get stopped, I can quickly remove it and put it under the seat. Maybe not the "cleanest" installation, but it's quick and easy.

I run a hardwired V1 and Escort ZR4 laser jammer system in my 996TT. Low cost and great setup.

I had a V1 for over 8 years but now haw the escort 9500ci in both of my cars...the added laser protection and GPS for red light cameras and sped traps is awesome...V1 is in a box in the garage.

V1 is not bad...but it's no longer the only option

^^^^ There's already a simple solution for avoiding a ticket from a red light camera and it doesn't involve any GPS-enabled detector.

I imagine there are many more than one simple solutions....easiest being brake on yellow...but it does not change the fact that I like the verbal heads up as I come to the light...you may prefer a different method...cool

I've always ran the v1 and wouldn't change that but have also ran it with the blinder system and to be honest the blinder didnt work to well. It may have been install and aligning but I never was able to confirm if the blinder really worked.

If you are interested in a new v1 let me know.
