Test drove the 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish today. My feedback:

A) The exterior and interior are simply stunning. Just as good if not better in real than than photos. The interior is just gorgeous.

B) The exhaust note is very "Throatty", I suppose it uses the same sport exhaust from the Vantage V12? In Sport mode, the car appears to sound louder inside the car than my C63 Black Series! The down shifts sounds awesome.

C) Drive: it's fast and in Sport Mode, it wants to take off. This car feels much more sportier than the Virage and DBS. So in other words, it feels more of a sports car than GT. Steering feels more quick and more accurate than the Virage. One of my major complaints of the Virage was it felt like a big car. This car doesn't feel like one.

Do I want one? Heck yeah! However, I'm trying to decide between the SLS Black Series and this.

The exhaust muffler is new to the vanquish, it's actually about half the size of the v12v muffler..makes for a lighter weight and louder sound

 

I am a diehard loyal AMG owner, I still say the Aston. The SLS interior is mundane and boring by comparison.

 

How fast does it feel compared to your Black? From the testing, it sounds rather slow? But if it feels just as fast as the Black... I'd say Aston. And that's coming from a fellow C63 Black owner.

 

Test drove the SLS GT the other day. It didn't feel much different than my C63 Black Series. I imagine the SLS Black Series will be similar.

 

you must be kidding! that is pure sex on wheels. no comparing a merc to an AM an SLR maybe but that's it!
