HID Headlight washers

OK dumb question maybe but I'm curious to know. How do the HID headlight washers work? Specifically my question is: When I operate them do those black panels on the lights spray? Do they pop forward? Do they move? I had no idea that these even came on the Vantage. I just discovered mine tonight...

Still getting to know the car after my short 3 weeks of ownership so far.

The headlights need to be turned on, unless your in an area that has daytime running lights like Canada..then there always on with the switch even turned off, in this case you have to turn on the light switch to let the headlamp washers wash automatically.

When you use the front windscreen washer, if the headlmaps are on then the washer jets will roll outward and was the headlamp lens. This does not happen every time you wash the windscreen though..it's on a timer. To get around this timer, you can turn off the headlights after there washed, turn them back on and wash the front windscreen again to wash the lights

Thanks that is great info. So the Black plastic portion on the headlight does move then. That makes sense.

The front headlight washers are annoying as hell on the DB...they spray like a while spouting water from a blowhole! all over the hood and fenders. They do seem to be connected to the windsheild jets is treu, I never knew the trick about headlights off though...it was funny I noticed sometimes they went off and sometimes I ddin't remmeber them going off with the windshield, I never knew about the timer.

Not on mine, the drivers side one only washes the top of the windscreen and the roof

Anyone know how to adjust?

You let the windshield get dirty enough to use the washers?

I asked similar questions look further down I was told by the guru's that removing fuse 26 in the engine bay will prohibit the headlamp washers from working? but I dont no where the engine bay fuse box is? I have found the one in the boot for fuse 22

Well, while living in the Pacific Northwest has many benefits but being able to keep a windshield clean is not one of them
