"No news" doesn't mean "nothing happening." Stuart's working to get the drop just right. It's a bit of a sticky wicket at this point, but progress is being made.

There's an incredible amount of work that goes into designing a product. I put countless hours into researching, designing, testing, and coordinating parts/supply for my catch can kit, and it doesn't even have to deal with dynamic forces like a set of springs.

OK folks, some REAL progress has been made. Things are moving now. I can't offer a timeline yet, but I know this progress is a lot closer to the goal line today than it was this time yesterday. Watch this space....

I just bought a V8VS and this would be a great first mod.

Looks like we are about ready to go. Got the drop nailed right where we want it based on the feedback so far, and our tester is reporting better damping and better body control than what he previously had fitted. Just want a few more miles put on the car to be extra sure we're good to go and then we will formally launch the product.

Hopefully Sonny will be along soon to give some independent/unbiased advice.

Some preliminary pictures for you guys. This car was previously fitted with H&R lowering springs, which the owner found a little lower than desired, and suffered a little from the 'Pogo' effect others have described. We set out to create a drop which was perhaps halfway in between that and the OEM. Has worked out at 7/8ths of an inch lower than standard, which is pretty much spot on what we wanted.

Looks like a much more reasonable drop! I didn't have the pogo effect with my H&R springs until I went on the Jefferson Circuit at Summit Point - very, very noticeable there! I'd love to take a car fitted with these new springs out on that course to compare how they handle it compared to the H&Rs. Glad to see these are finally ready!

Ellipsis is infamous around these parts
It's a pretty mild drop, however for NY roads I think it's perfect. Would love to be one of your first customers for this Stuart!

Sounds good to me! We should be launching pretty shortly, there will be a special launch discount on the first production run too.

It's funny, pretty much everyone says their roads are crap! I like the look of a bigger drop sometimes, but in practical terms for everyday use sometimes middle ground is better.

I love the look of mine, but holy crap I cringe a lot when I drive. It gets stressful... I'd swap over to your new springs but I can live with it so I'm holding out for feedback on those coilovers

Thumbs up

Cringe. Yes, that's what this car is now missing. I have yet to find a speed bump that could make these springs either scrape or bounce—and I was trying! Er, at reasonable speeds, though.

The car is quite a bit more composed. For me the pogo effect was there before, but wasn't too bad with the H&R's. With the V.AP springs, it's well within the bounds of a well dampened setup. Corkscrewing with rapid f/r weight shift is gone, and the smaller bumps are just slightly softer, but not at the expense of connection. With the lower H&R springs, I was always aware of where the weight of the car was going, as it's shift wasn't terribly well dampened. With the V.AP springs, the toil AML put into the setup in development shines through very nicely. I would call the ride controlled, composed, taut, stopping just short of harsh or firm. More than anything else, I feel more confident with the car.

Every setup is a compromise, and this one is my first choice—the first truly progressive springs give just enough lowering with none of the drawbacks.
