Plastique: I dig the new avatar pic. I hope my citing of the Jalopnik article in your thread on Fchat didn't dampen your enthusiasm for the new addition. It certainly wasn't meant to!
I guess to clarify, this was through towns and in traffic. It wasn't a rally. I do have friends with Lambos and GT3's who would not want to do that kind of run.

I wonder if this steep depreciation will continue now that the car is discontinued. Could be a future classic.

Don't all Merc cars depreciate heavily?

Yeah, but the SLS is a bit more unique than most Mercedes cars.

I recently picked up an R8 V10, and the deals on the MP4 have tickled my senses a little. After all the great things Ive read about this car, Im almost afraid to test drive a lightly used one, as I would hate to move into a new car so soon. Thinking about scheduling something with McL Philadelphia - Ive seen some used 2012 coupes sell for 170Kish on ebay. IMO that is a phenomenal car for that money....not much else can touch it within $75k (f458)....

I'll be the outlier here and say I'd rather buy a C8 Spyker over a 12C .... Flame on!

Have had that same itch. Just too small for me. Still agile at my age, but too much gymnastics getting in and out.

Get me one too.
Great input and write-up FUBAR , I felt like I was actually driving one reading it!

Getting one for you too is unlikely as I am still working on her indoors when it comes to getting one for me!

Okay, giving this thread a bump because I realized that I hadn't let you all know that I did actually chop in the DB9 for a McLaren. I swear I was nearly in tears when the collected my Aston from the house - it is such a beautiful piece of design, and to be honest I miss looking at its elegant lines everyday.

I am sure that I will be back with an Aston sometime in the not too far future - most likely when they have AMG engines and can run low 3s to 60

I will, of course, still be around on the board giving all you great guys a poke now and then.

Pics? Did you get a spider or coupe....good deal?

I presume discounts are even heavier on the 12C now that the 650S is out.

I bought a late 2012 Coupe. In titanium silver with a couple of particular options that I wanted. I don't know what will happen with the second hand value of the 12C, it's price may have flattened out or I may loose a heap on it, but it is definitely one hell of a car to drive. I got it for what I consider to be a fair price, but the most impressive part of the whole deal to me was the amount of money that I got for my 9 on trade in. My DB9 seemed to have really held its value well over the last couple of three years that I have owned it. I know the original opener of my 9 must have taken a big hit when he sold the car, but the depreciation under my ownership was effectively very minimal. Just goes to show how great some of these Astons are, and how the demand increases as they fall into a more affordable price range.

I will take a couple of quick pics.......
