Jaguar Key FOB for Astons

Apparently the internal of our aston keyless entry fobs fits into the jaguar fobs. I found some photos on another forum and was curious if anyone here has done this mod

They are actually Volvo units on the earlier models. You have to have the program codes or they won't function with the AM. So a search here on the forum and you can read more about it.

Yes, I did this with mine over a year ago. No need for program codes. You actually swap the internals from the Aston/Volvo fob with the ones in the Jaguar one.

I have just ordered the jaguar fob on ebay. For the AM graphic I ordered a AM lapel pin. I am planning to snap the back pin out and glue it onto the back of the jaguar fob. I'll post pics when it arrives and i have it all put together.

Here's a link to a similar model (if not the exact same) on eBay. Who's going to give it a shot?

I changed out my keyfob for this and although it looks better, I am having the hardest time getting it to operate correctly. I changed the battery, but it did not help. I am not sure if it is contacting properly or what, but it takes a number of tries to get it to lock or unlock. Anyone else had an issue getting the keyfob to work easily?

I've got it done without issues. I remember a post in a different thread talking about a spacer being used to 'ease operations' of the buttons. A forum search could help you perhaps
