Great post and nice work! This will come in handy for a lot of users not doubt. I'm a big fan of owners working on their own cars. Just gave you a rep bump for this!

Do you by chance have link or source for the info? I'd be glad to add it.

for some reason the mega factories link doesn't work in the FAQ so I've posted it separately here. It's quite well done.

Thanks, guys! I'll try to get the first post updated. Stupid busy lately but I'll do what I can!

Edit: I've gotten started on it but I'm doing some rearranging as well, so it'll be a little messy the next day or so while I get things sorted. All the info will still be there, though.

The thin client I'm on is acting weird - when I try to edit the original post it's coming up as completely blank. I'll do some more updating later tonight at home.

Rich, I just found out that Chris sold his Vantage after a few months (bought a Land Rover so he could carry his mountain bike). This explains why he hasn't been around anymore. So, congrats, you've just inherited the FAQ!

08 roadster. Top doesn't close. Can hear motor and no error messages

The top was running fine except last few days seemed to be moving slower and noise from motor was a bit strange. I opened the top and now it won't close!

The tenneau cover won't open either but I can hear motor engage.

What do you think it can be? I searched and saw variant things (Ecu etc)

Anything I can check before taking into dealership?

What are potential costs you guys think?

Terrific thread, thank you to all those who contributed.

Is there a good discussion about tires for the Vantage we could link to here? The wheels and tires section mostly deals with the rims themselves as well as the repair kits etc. I'd love to find a good discussion of the OEM Potenzas vs. the other top options and add it to that section. Thanks!
