Vantage Hood Strut Update

My OEM Vantage hood struts finally gave up after 17 years and I thought I'd update this post.
I ended up purchasing my struts supplied by LIftSupportsDepot (item PM3729), mentioned in earlier posts, for $39.97 plus tax from Walmart, shipping included; I checked, and if I had ordered directly from LIftSupportsDepot there would have been an additional shipping charge, and the price was slightly higher. Amazon is not one of my preferred merchants, even thought their price was the same as Walmart.
As it turned out, I placed my order late Wednesday afternoon, and I received my struts, via FedEx on Friday afternoon! SoCal to NorCal, with a Saturday delivery option included!
Anyhow, installation of the new struts took less time than reading the supplied instructions...done in about 15 minutes.
I also received a follow-up email from the Depot which included installation instructions, which duplicated those included with the shipment.
Appearance matched the OEM struts; each weighed slightly more at 207 grams vs.173 grams.
First class service and materials...and I have no affiliation with the supplier.
YMMV
