I have never met anyone who actually has a supercharger on the V8V. I have seen posts on the Internet, but never seen a car to judge its fit/finish or talk to the owner about reliability, heat, etc. I am curious, too.

I would be curious how this setup holds up. I'm pretty sure V8V's have powdered rods and hypereutectic pistons which isn't the most durable materials to use for boosted applications, but boy does that car sound good!

I thought the V8V has forged internals.

As with any huge increase in power, I'd be concerned about longevity of the car and parts that were not intended to deal with the additional stresses and strains. Another thing to consider, I don't know if you are concerned about resale, but I and I'm sure many others would never buy a car that has been aftermarket supercharged.

I'm pretty sure the only thing forged in a V8 Vantage is the crankshaft which is just like the DB9 (more expensive model).

Yes I have a Centrifugal supercharger with air to water intercooler running 10 psi boost at redline. To do this I needed bigger injectors, larger MAFs and a boost-a-pump voltage transformer on the fuel pump module. The car has been tuned through the AM PCM and runs well. Nothing has blown up yet and I have about 26,000 miles on the car (20,000 on the supercharger). On a DYNOjet it puts out 550 HP at the rear wheels and about 400 foot pounds of torque at the rear wheels.

some Pics here https://www.6speedonline.com/g/album/159937
this is really old data, many changes since these PICs posted.

I never would have expected that (20k trouble free miles). Do you drive it hard? I wonder what the leak down numbers would be on your engine after 20k boosted miles. It would be cheap insurance to find out if your rings are wearing. I bet your car is a hoot to drive!

I think the first 1000 or so produced had forged rods, and then they switched over to sintered.
