Karl, it's a manual without Nav. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I thought I saw a thread where you showed everyone how to have the fascia painted piano black? Was hoping to do that for <$130.

Thanks.

I have the pluge under the ash try lid (we just removed the glass ash try it's self) There is also a small switch that will allow my I phone to play music through the head unit. I still have to control the music through my I phone. It does charge my I phone as well. I also just lay my I phone on the center console paralle behihind the ashtray, on the rear defrost button..

Thanks, Ron! It's a 06 with stick. Will instruct my installer in Phoenix to do the same.

Ha! Sorry about that. I' wish I had your anthracite wheels. I went the opposite and put the anthracite center caps on silver wheels.

Nice job Whag. The car looks great! As I mentioned, I have an 06 also and I love it. Let me know if you have any questions for a fellow early Vantage owner.

Yup, manual w/out nav, that's what I had. And, yes, it was me who did the thread when I had a custom chopper shop in town paint mine. I took it off the car when I sold it and now have it for sale.

Thank you! Ever have to replace leaking struts? That's my one inherited problem.

Nice. If you took it off, what'd you replace it with before selling the car?

Really looking to spend about what you did to have it painted. Assume you're looking for much more - otherwise, I'd be interested. Thanks.

Anyone on here upgrade their halogens to HID xenons? I see there are lots of kits available on Amazon, but I'm not sure which would fit and is the best option. Couldn't find any other threads talking about this...

One of my goals when making my AM mods so far has been the ability to revert back to the original. I do this by either buying spares from the dealer, buying parts from wrecked cars off eBay, or making the mods on fabricated pieces to replace the originals. That way, I can safely store the originals and put them back if needed. That is what I did with the fascia. I also intended to revert my custom Alcantara interior bits back to factory look but, in the end, they made the car unique enough that people were willing to pay a premium for it.

Received the car a week ago, and wow, what an incredible car! Not sure it get's much better than an Aston...this is a bit of an upgrade from my Honda s2000.

Only problem I'm having is that shifting from 1st to 2nd feels a bit forced. Works fine in neutral at a stop, but once you're going, it doesn't shift as smoothly.

Already replaced all interior lights and the license plate light with LEDs and replaced the stock antenna with the Mini Cooper one (thanks to the Aston threads!). Would like to change the halogens to a xenon colored bulb, HIDs, or LEDs - any suggestions?

Also, I feel like the Phoenix sun is going to destroy my interior. Any thoughts on a good leather protector? Can't seem to come across one recommended by the majority of Aston owners. Want something that won't change the look or feel - just protection. Already bought the sunshade recommended by Karl (although it seems to be a bit small to cover the full window). -> http://www.carid.com/2007-aston-mart...-10084638.html.

Absolutely love the car!

Welcome and you're right it doesn't get much better than AstonMartin ownership.
I have a 2007 and find the transmission shifts wonderfully although a bit stiff and meaty. It just requires a little bit of muscle maybe you could try a synthetic gear oil in the transmission if it's approved.
