Gas Mileage

For those of you who drive predominantly in the city and have a V8 Vantage, what is your gas mileage?? I'm looking for primarily stock real world numbers. Check your average speed and if it is in the 20's please post your average gas mileage.

As many of you know, my 2007 Vantage is supercharged and I have tuned it myself. It has a Vortec supercharger, water-air charge cooler, bigger MAF's and injectors and a boost-a-pump. I gave no thought to fuel economy and average 10.5 to 11 mpg.

I recently decided this was terrible so I have researched and tuned for better mileage w/o effecting performance which is quite easy with a centrifugal supercharger. My initial results are 18.5 mpg!! I'm thinking there is probably more to go without undue risk to the motor but I'd like to establish the stock baseline. Not terribly scientific but interesting.

Please post your average city gas mileage ... thanks

I get about 28 MPG.

The V12V gets 11 MPG; my VW Golf TDI gets 45 MPG . . . averages to about 28!

And I bike to work.

I was so perplexed by the first line that I read it several times before moving on to the explanation in the second line haha

I average 14 mpg or so, but that's mixed city/highway and a slightly heavy right foot.

What sort of air/fuel ratios are you seeing with the improved economy tune?

OK, I might have spoken too quickly. I may have been subconsciously driving with a light foot. Looks like about 15 mpg is the real number, still better than 10-11.
What I did was increase EGR during my normal drive envelope, turn off injectors immediately when APP is off and biased closed loop running 1/2 lambda leaner that Stioc

I seem to get around 16 in town (which includes 35-50 mph boulevards). On the road trip when I bought it though I got 22 mpg on the highway with cruise control around 70, which I was really happy with. I have a 2009 Vantage V8 manual.

My Range Rover Sport has a 510HP Supercharged motor. I use it to tow my enclosed trailer, with my Lotus 211 inside. When I drive it to my local track, it gets better mileage than my V12 Vantage does.
