aston lagonda doesn't make a diff, it's still ugly..............looks like a chrysler 300. Maybe foisting this off on the middle east is just a little revenge for all the arab oil!
yeah, I don't see an ugly line on there. Great stance and presence. The grill and headlight arrangement isn't stunning, but I get it (pretty much a lift from the bespoke DBs over the past 2 years).
Seems like the China market would gobble those up. I'm guessing that China has at least some regulations and this beauty doesn't meet them. Too bad.

Agreed. It isn't an overwhelming design but I think that's the point. Prominent and elegant, not flashy. And don't forget that it's a very big car, so it will have a lot of presence in person that can't be easily captured in pictures.
The back is slightly awkward (gotta make space for tons of headroom I guess lol) but overall I'm liking it quite a bit

I'll admit that I'm a little unclear on the relationship and brand proposition between Aston Martin and Lagonda. I've inferred that Lagonda is supposed to be a separate, niche brand within Aston Martin wherein Aston Martin is the sports car/GT company and Lagonda is the lux cruiser cousin.
That said, I guess I understand why this doesn't "look like" and Aston Martin in the strictest sense.
While I like the overall statement of this Lagonda, I do agree with many that there are some troubling elements of the design that keep it from being a jaw dropper. So, while I get that Lagonda has to be not exactly an Aston Martin, it's a shame that with the distinctive and rather gorgeous tail light language of the One-77 and Vanquish, this Lagonda has an entirely weak and forgettable rear lighting set.
Also, that face. That big chrome lower lip really weakens an otherwise potentially strong visual statement. Instead of the crisp, intersecting masses of lights and grill, we get this long, drooping chrome U shape that lacks tension and muddles the sharp points. Those head lights are actually quite sleek and aggressive, but you wouldn't know it without taking a long time to find out. That big, dull chrome line below just makes the whole front end look like the grill weighs half a ton and the face is sagging under its ponderous belly.
Finally, the front 3/4 low view is THE way this car is supposed to look. Sadly, from any more of a side/rear angle, the mass of the rear half really starts to overwhelm that of the front. In side view this really comes into focus. The front half of the car is flat, low and stretched tight. But the back half is rising, thick and slabular. Seems a slight more notch in the trailing edge of the C pilar and some downward sweep over the passenger door glass chrome could have been enough to overcome this mismatch.
Still, I love that Aston Martin is doing ballzy things like this and grabbing attention.

The Car looks like a Maserati Quattroporte . Raise the back end and it would look dam close. The back looks horrible and the nose looks like a Ford Fusion with its mouth open. I understand it should be iconic, but I don't think looks will sell this car, only the exclusivity.

Lot More pics here...certainly is a unique car. Ford's copy of the Aston front end design would probably make some think it is a Ford.
