Great event, specially since I got to drive this GT4. What a blast.

 

Oh boy, I was just up there for the Monterey car week. I wish was still there.
What was it like? Sequential gearbox or paddle?

It was a 6 MT. The sequential trannys are in the GT3 cars. I got to drive a GT4.

Best part of the weekend for me, the "parade laps" driving our own cars on the track on Saturday. We got 6 complete laps. I was able to gap the cars in front and behind so I was basically driving the car as fast as I dare. The corkscrew is every bit as terrifying as legend has it. How the pros do it at speed is mind boggling. The little autox circuit was great fun too (I had TTOD for an Aston on the Saturday). Anyway, great event, well done TRG-AMR!

 

It was Miles birthday, so we flew in from Dallas. What a great weekend! He rode in the V12V GT3 Racecar piloted by Danny Sullivan.

 

Looks like an awesome event! I've ridden in a GT4 but not a GT3. The GT4 I was in had an ASM transmission. Didn't get to drive it but ooooh man if I only had the chance!

Saturday - turning laps as fast as I dare, including the infamous "Corkscrew".



Sunday - part of a parade of 50 Astons along 17 Mile Drive from Pacific Grove to Carmel (5th car back, in front of a gorgeous DB5).

oh man, i totally missed this event!!! hopefully there will be another...would love to throw my n420 around the track.
