That is very cool! I wish that I was that handy working on my car. Somehow if I attempt those modifications it would be a case of shuttle left well enough alone, then I would have to run to the dealer for them to straighten up my mess. Nicely done love the shift boot & ****.

Thanks!
Assembly/disassembly of a car is pretty easy, actually. The trick is to group the screws together, or leave them in their respective holes once you pull things apart.
The "panic mode" shot wasn't really a true panic mode, but my intention is/was to send out the stereo surround to have it "skinned" in carbon fiber. My disassembly was a bit hasty, though, since it appears I won't be getting that done till the spring. Seeing that spring is a bit of a ways off, I decided to reassemble things before I forget where everything goes. I figured why not pop in the glass switches while I was at it. I did have a bit of a moment with my sequencing during reassembly.
per KF's requirement, I'll keep posting my updates as I go.
I've been wrenching on my 4Runner lately, trying to get it ready before the winter weather hits. It isn't my Aston, but here's what I did this weekend:

New calipers, EBC USR slotted rotors, EBC Yellow Stuff pads, All-Pro braided stainless brake lines, and All-Pro wheel spacers, plus a brake fluid flush. I upgraded the rotors to the larger Sport Edition ones while I was at it, with the calipers swapped out to accommodate them. Did the brakes on all four corners, and dropped in Iridium spark plugs and a new battery. I've got a set of wheels and tires on the way for it, too. Still need to install my seat warmers.
I'm still waiting on my wheels to get here for my Aston, they should have been here by now but that's how this always seems to go! I also need to swap out my thermostat, I have the Jag equivalent (I hope lol) sitting on my workbench and ready to go. I'm also going to be pulling the fuel injectors to have them sent off as soon as my new wheels are on (I don't want to wait to get the wheels on while my injectors are out).

Nice work telum01 on both your Aston and the 4Runner! those are some proper upgrades. Did you have any difficulty in replacing the seat and glovebox buttons on the Vantage? I'm getting into that next week
The glovebox is very, very easy. I'll see whether I can locate the video that explains how to remove the glove box switch.
The seat switches are destroyed to exchange them. I believe the 5 minute route is to use a 17mm socket to physically drive/force the switch inward into the seat. At that point, they can be easily removed.
I took a different approach, whereby I used a dremel to gut the inner workings of the switch in a manner that destroyed them from the inside outward. This approach was slower, but a little less traumatic (imo) on the remainder of each seat.

No problem, but I'm not really the authority here. I'm just passing along info provided by others with more knowledge.
See this thread for removal of glove box switch.
