Beautiful Car, You'll really enjoy the 6-speed manual, that's what this car is all about. When you need maximum "Go" for passing, go to 3rd gear, it's perfect. Get used to the "Permagrin" you'll experience--not just when you're driving it, but every time you see it in your garage. Consider getting a professional to cover the front-end, headlights and backs of mirrors with 3-M or Xpel, clear plastic protection.

@Hedge, curious..but did the dealer stock a convertible in stick shift or you order it? If it's the former, it is a rare find!

Post more pics!

I appreciate all the welcome words and advice. I will get more photos up next weekend but wanted to respond to a few posts. The wheels are tinted (graphite?) but retain a chrome-like shine. I was fortunate enough to find the right 6 spd roadster in dealer stock after looking for about 6 months. When I flew out to Phoenix (I'm in Los Angeles) to see the car and a couple others, the stock wheels had been changed out. The dealer offered to change them back but I decided they worked well with the rest of the car (blackened grill, hood mesh, exhaust). The finish seems to hold up better to brake dust as well.
And, yes, I definitely want to get the film but need to locate the right shop for the job.
As for the sunshade recommendations, will they work as well on a roadster given that car's miniature sun visors? I noticed one manufacturer's instructions included using the visors to hold the shade in place. Thanks again.

The one I bought from the Heat Shield Store fits perfectly and tight and doesn't require the very small sunvisors to keep in place

Car ID one (covercraft) stays in place without the sunvisor.

I live in the valley near Los Angeles. I use a place called Sticker City, in Van Nuys on Van Nuys blvd near the Ventura freeway. They have worked on all of my cars and many of the high end dealers use them.

Thanks Ron. I think I saw your Vantage on Ventura Blvd. the other day….color looks great and is very distinctive. I'll check out Sticker City….do you also know Unique Auto Films in Tarzana?

I have not heard of that particular company in Tarzana. All I know is Sticker City is used by most of the high end dealers in the LA area. I have had good luck with them in the past. They are very busy though, so booking an appointment is not always easy.

more pics

A couple more photos. Enjoying the car tremendously, esp early evenings and week end mornings. But I did experience the infamous stall at the end of a 30 minute romp through LA canyons and Mulholland Drive. Just flamed out on a straight leading up to a stop. Started right back up and nothing more but got me thinking about steering on a curve in a stall situation?? Pop the clutch?
