How PS flows

Please see attached image (for 2009 DB9)
can some one please comment on how PS flows in and out of reservoir


I think it goes out via lower pipe (thin arrow) and comes back via top pipe (thick wide arrow)


I am planning to convert to CHF11S and want to disconnect drain pipe so I can flush the system.

Yes the lower hose is the return line. Here is the Aston service bulletin outlining how to flush the fluid, hope it helps! For the record I've been using Royal Purple Max EZ with great results. The factory stuff would boil after a hard track session.

just what I was looking for, perfect.


now I just have to find Lubrizol, hopefully online (nearest AM stealer is 90 miles)

Same spec. fluid is @ a Jaguar Dealer. ask for the squeaky steering fix additive. No secret of how it works, but does wonders.
