NOt a huge fan of the dragon anymore, I first rode it in the mid 90s before all the hoopla. It's fun, but lots of magnificent roads in the area to ride/drive. If you do hit deals gap, midweek morning is best time to run it.

ALso RE: Blue Ridge Parkway, the posted speed is so low and the fines are obscene if caught speeding.

Our Ducati club has had rallies in the area for years.

Have to make the obligatory post of one of my Deals Gap heroes, Yellow WOlf

I have driven the Dragon many times; Harleys, Porsche, Aston, etc, etc ..

You should do it once so you can notch your belt - other than that its a tourist destination...

So many good roads up there ....

did you make the trip.
I live just off the blue ridge parkway in Bedford VA.
Id love to meet you and take you to two great side roads along your voyage and maybe show you a great place to stop for dinner.
BUT you likely just finished this trip and im too late.
unless weather or something pushed the trip.

Thanks for the offer for a meet in VA.
I picked the car up in DC Sat afternoon in the rain. GRRRRRR. All polished up and I headed out and made Roanoke VA for dinner and a chance to relax and get ready for a day on the Blue Ridge.
Got up early Sunday and the sun was shining, and although cold, it was a great day as I had the Parkway to myself all the way to Ashville.
The car was great and I got the chance to feel her out and get to know it.
Headed west and made Nashville that night.
On monday I went straight to the head of the Neches Trace Trail and once again, I had that road to myself as there was just nobody out and about that day.
What a nicely groomed road ( race track ?) that stretch of road is.
So yes I am in love with the new GT and put almost 2k miles on it doing back roads to Austin.
Tomorrow is oil change day, and a good cleanup as she is just a total mess !!
Had a blast and I am loving the decision to add the GT to the stable. What a sweet little car these things are, I dont know why more people are not driving these things as they are just amazing cars.
