2005 DB9 key fobs
2005 DB9 key fobs
I just purchased 2 new fobs thru Scuderia systems and I think I may have a problem. I have read they all need to have I.d.'s to program and they come with the remotes. The ones I received have no I.d.'s and seam like they are in a package for the newer style fobs. Is this the case?
If you have no I.D numbers on the package corresponding to those remotes, then those are just 2 paper weights...

You can still use those.
Here's what I would do:
Buy two new Volvo remotes with codes (Remote control # 30772198, $60 each shipped) and have those programmed at the Aston dealer.
When you get home, use a small screwdriver and take the contents (circuit boards) out of the Volvo remote and swap them into the Aston remotes. The Aston remotes need an Allen wrench to remove the top chrome pieces. Other than the chrome top and leather back, they are exactly the same.
Just to let you know, I did this with mine and it works.

If I was you I'd return the just bought FOB's from where you got them if possible. Take the route as per @spyder997s suggestion and get yourself a set of the new-style Jag FOBs https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ml#post4196079
Been using them since and they're great and more up to date for sure. Good luck
