Yeah, $10k for driver participants, $2500 for non-driver guests. Now I feel poor

I coulda sworn they did this last year, too. I know I got an invitation for it a long, long time ago. Unless they invited me a year+ prior to this event.

I think this is the second year in a row for the US. I'm headed to warm #MiamiBoatShow that week anyway!

When I saw that I had to register before finding out about pricing I knew I couldn't afford it

The press release didn't include pricing info, but the invitation from AM (I got mine via AMOC) did include it. The pricing is the same year as it was for last year.

Yikes! Definitely not for me...

As an example, I did a full track day with instruction, with AM Beverly Hills last year. it was $1500 and it included accommodation at the Ritz, 4 meals + booze (not while driving!), and you did NOT drive your car, but theirs. V12V, Vanquish, etc. Oh yea, it was $1.5k for a party of TWO (so $750 ea).

I think while $1.5k is quite a bit of cash, it was worth it. Might be a bit comparing apples to oranges though.

That's a pretty penny but well worth it for everything you're getting!

I don't think the comparison is too far off. The Ice trip is pretty much the same thing but up in Colorado. I'm guessing that the price of participation is to help cover the inevitable damage to the cars, among other things.

-G- is infamous around these parts
If you're interested, AMEX Plat is offering a condensed program for much more reasonable prices (around $2k if I remember correctly). It's only a one day program, but otherwise identical, from what I can tell, to the AM run program (in fact, looking at the dates, it's probably the AM program opened up to AMEX customers).
