New engine
New engine
An unexpected development….
2014MY V8V stick purchased 9/20/14 from dealer stock with 100miles on the clock. Put 1500 miles on and took in for annual service (required given original registration was 12 months prior). On drive over to dealer noticed a brand new ticking sound like a faint valve tap. Car has run and sounded great up to this point. Dealer unable to diagnose (aided by factory consultation including their review of dealer-provided engine sound recording…impressive!). AM is sending over a new engine. Certainly miss having my car but have to be impressed by the somewhat surreal level of customer service.

that's a first on a V8
Been out of town but here's an update….got car back with new engine (brand new MY14 not refurbished, which Gaydon evidently also has on hand), and all seems well after a few hundred miles. Also had some interior bits like leather imperfections and hairline crack in piano black console replaced under original warranty, and seat heater recall. Good service all around and enjoying my 4th month of 3 pedal nirvana!
Galpin Premier / Aston Martin, and more specifically John Alavazo the service manager. I would add that I did not purchase my car from Galpin, so all the more impressive.
I bought my DBS at Galpin. It was a demo. Wife and I flew down and drove back to Bay Area (400miles) at speeds over 75. After arriving home, discovered tires were cracked from being grossly under inflated. Also, first service was never performed. They had my local dealer replace all for tires and perform service and charge them directly. They were terrific to work with.

Even sending someone to pick me up during rush hour over the hill.
That is my dealer and I work with John as well. They are good for purchasing and service.

Out of curiosity I asked the rate to replace the door struts... over $300 per door.

I know these are expensive cars but... come on.
I will probably do it myself or take it to my indy for anything other than recalls.
