NAV DVD shutter is open error

Just bought an 09 Vantage and I was wondering if anyone had come across this error on the nav screen? I attached a photo. I searched the forum and there wasn't much on this topic. Any ideas?

thanks

Not sure where it is on an '09 Vantage, but somewhere there's a DVD unit that's not closed properly - probably in the boot, maybe behind your seat.

Check your manual.

The aston mechanic says $360 just to look at it...it isn't something that is just not closed. It came up when I had the inspection done and he fixed all that was possible to be taken care of during the inspection process...thought maybe it was a glitch that I could remedy myself

I appreciate the suggestion though

Did you find the DVD drive? Is there a disc in it?

the dealer conveniently lost the manuals so I am not sure where to look for the actual unit. The mechanic said he would have to take out the sub??

No way does the sub have to be removed to access the DVD!

Found this on Pistonheads:

"If you have a 2009MY car with the new fascia/centre console then it should be the HDD system, the unit is usually behind a carpet flap on the left side of the Vantage's boot, or if you have a Roadster you need to slightly raise the lowered roof to find the drive in the middle just above the rear cubby box."

Also: go to astonmartintechinfo.com, pay about $100 for a one day subscription, and download all the manuals you need or want.

HTH

Early cars had the DVD player on the left side of the trunk. There is a flap above the fuel tank on the left side. Pull it open the DVD is there
