Coolant and other issues

Starting to prep my 2011 V12 Vantage for coming out of winter hibernation (5 weeks in storage). Oil is good but I noticed the coolant is low. So, went to glove compartment to get the manual to see what type of coolant is recommended and the glove compartment won't open.

So . . .

1) Any tips/tricks for getting the glove compartment open?
2) Any recommendation on what coolant to top up with?

Thanks,
e

If dealer is close by, you can pick up 1 liter bottle coolant/antifreeze (#1R12322666AA). You will need to dilute it 50/50 with distilled water as it is a concentrated coolant.

I'd just top it off with distilled water, which would not dilute much and have any negative effect.

Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately, dealer is not close by (over 2.5 hours away). Is there a particular brand/type of coolant I can use for the V12? I'm hesitant to fill only with distilled water as it's low and don't want it to boil over.

Do you have leak? If not, a cup or 2 should remove the warning message and would be insignificant in a 4 gallon system.

Dan uses Prestone Dex-Cool on his DB9 https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...procedure.html
I used a gallon of this when replacing the thermostat last year. I believe there's a 50/50 pre-mixed gallon available as well.

Got that and topped it up. Car fired right up--no warning lights and temperature is good.

However, I noticed that I have no center console power (stereo won't come on, no heat/ac) and, weirdly, no functioning turn signals. Might the battery have died over the winter despite being on a charger (and firing right up with no problem today)?

Oh, and still can't get the glove box open (thanks for the tip though mkzhang).

Water is a better at drawing heat that a mix. When racing the mechanics always used water with just a pint of coolant to keep the system from rusting. But for you you want to keep the mix pending how cold it gets in your area.

Have you checked the fuses yet? Whenever I press the battery disconnect switch under the rear seat certain accessories in the car will no longer work (normal). Did you press the battery disconnect switch when winterizing the car?

They made 2x2 V12 Vantage? The battery disconnect switch is in the boot for most cars & inserting the key into ignition reverts it back to normal mode. Many of the center console fuses are under the passenger carpet & behind the aluminum panel. Get our your torx drivers.
