Lint at the bottom of the V8V windows

Basically, at the bottom of the driver and passenger side windows, on the exterior, there is a material which attracts all kinds of lint. Sounds kind of ridiculous, but enough has accumulated that it doesn't look great. Too difficult to pull off with your hands.

Anybody else share this problem and have any solutions? I'll have to take some pictures.

I bought a waterproof/dust cover for my V8V roadster with a "SOFT PROTECTIVE LINING".
It left white lint all over the black soft top!!
Spent ages cleaning it off and had lint in the outer window recesses.
Got the wifes vacuum cleaner with a small nozzle attachment then took the nozzle from a glue bottle and taped it to the cleaners nozzle to fit into recess and it sucked out the lint.

PS. I now protect the soft top with a sheet of coated nylon material before the cover goes on.

For the top, a lint roller works well. Essentially sticky tape on a roller. I'd think it would work for the weather strip area at the bottom of the windows too.
