AM is going to announce a V12S Vantage with manual transmission

 

All orders for all Vantages has officially stopped period, you cannot order any new model vantage effective immediately. Until new announcement comes there is an order freeze. (Probably to save what remaining drivetrains they have left).

I cannot confirm price as it appears Aston Martin has changed the direction they were going for the 2016 model year after the fact.

Speaking as one who did manage to get a GT, I hope it is a one year only car

 

Rohnin - There are PLENTY of MY15 GTs all over the country to be purchased. You can definitely get one and won't be missing out too much vis-a-vis MY16.

 

Correct, there are plenty of already produced GT Vantages on showroom floors that you can still by. You just cannot order one the way you want anymore... That door has already officially closed (unannounced, they closed the door without even telling the dealers until just the last few weeks).

If you want a GT, I suggest buying one out there while you still can.

The new car will have options as well, all is not lost. Pricing is still not yet released or determine so don't assume it will cost a fortune. Verbtim: it will have "all the best features of the entire Aston product lineup"

No you misunderstood, there will only be one V8 vantage for 2016, no more V8S, regular V8, and GT designations. For 2016 only one special edition final run. It will be a numbered limited edition run similar to the V12 Carbon edition (under a different name of course).

The only thing I don't know at this point is the exact name of the model, but it will be a numbered final run as stated above.

I am hearing a possible unveiling at Frankfurt Auto show in Sept, but still not confirmed on that one. We should know all the final details within the next month

 

Hmm.. Guess that'll be my last chance! Hope it offers the B&O..

But there are 2016 Vantages already built, including the GT. Just that if orders are closed, my ability to get one of those is over. So I hope the final edition is not too expensive and you can customize at least something. I wouldn't mind the return of sterling silver badges!
