2007 DB9 ride quality

Just bought (3 months ago) DB9 with 14,000 miles on it. The car rides worse than my 911/Boxster S/SL65 ever did. I'm talking the slightest bump and the whole car shakes and rattles. Worse at 20-40mph, fine at high speeds. I've read guys say "stop complaining if you want a car that can do 200mph". Seriously, the car is my daily driver and surely this is not right. Have it in the shop (not dealership) to see what's possibly wrong. Any suggestions? New shocks? New springs? Failed bushings? I've lowered air pressure to 32 PSI, no help. Any suggestions welcome. A car this expensive cannot ride this poorly. Or can it?

How old are the tires, and are they Bridgestones? Old tires can be pretty hard, and old Bridgestones are like rocks.

DB's are 'jiggly'. And the OEM Bridgestones are no help.

The change from Bridgestone to Michelin Pilot Super Sports made my DB9 ride AND drive like a different car. Great change for my 07. I would be cautious about lowering the tire pressure.

Exactly what the garage said, they are the original tires. First thing they said was get new tires, so changing tires and rims. The 15 spoke rims take an hour to clean, going with SPORT 5 spoke look. And not going Bridgestone. Ordered the Super Sport per suggestion. Should have on by next week and will update once on. Many thanks.

Are you going to 20" or staying at 19"? I've just bought your same year with 15 spokes and think they date the DB9 too, so trying to figure out what will suit the car best for looks and ride. Have you got a link to your new wheels?

Going with 19". Will try get picture tomorrow of what I ordered. Will post all details and report on ride difference once installed. Shop are trying to get me bigger tires, 245 and 295's. Fill out arches better.

^^^^ Hogwash. If you want to fill out the arches better, you should go with one higher profile. This will also make it ride more comfortably. Increasing the section width by 10mm will do almost nothing to change the tire diameter.

I have a set of Vellano 20's I sometimes run on my DB9 (245/35 & 285/30). They fill out well and do change the cars appearance. But I will not give up my stock Sportspack 19". They are hard to beat! Hope you find something you'll be happy with.

These are my favorites so far: OEM 20" seen on a new 2015 DB9... 245/35YR20, 295/30YR20.

Saw these, but too many spokes. I wanted minimal spokes for quick cleaning. But these do look nice. Thx

I use Armorall Wheel Protectant spray and wheels stay dustfree and look polished for weeks at a time. There's posts on it elsewhere on the forum.

Can you tell me more about what improvement you found with PSS?

Quieter, smoother? This is with your 19's", right?
