I'm told U.S. production will be limited to 100 units. I've been assured that the car will be a six speed manual.

A new 6MT 12 cylinder would make me think seriously about trading my new Vantage manual for one.
The V12 Vantage RS was suppose to be a manual. Did they ever make that or did it become the GT12? It has also been reported a normal V12S can be ordered with a manual through Q.

The original V12 Vantage was first offered as a manual, now the V12VS is only ASM3. The V8VS was originally ASM2 only, but was eventually offered with a manual option.

That's odd because I was told I definitely could about 4 months ago.

Now that I switched to V12S I have more time to order. I am curious to hear see the actual changes once the official announcement is made in December

There are "rumors" that AML might make a conversion kit available so that technicians could switch from the Sportshift transmission to the manual. The same thing was done for the original Vanquish.

it very well could be done..The SCam shifter on the ASM visually looks the same from 6speed to 7speed, just it's planted backwards. So a convertion kit would require the cables to do a 360degree at the back or creat a double pivot point arm..otherwise the shifter H-tree would be inverted....ex: Top left shifter position would be 2nd gear instead of 1st.

I know the 6speed trans to a V12S would be a time bomb(unless a One-77 unit was installed)..the first gen 7speed was fitted to a V12S and grenaded moments after from the power..7speed internals had to be reworked along with ratio's to accept the extra power.

Wouldn't that be the similar to installing a GP shifter on a motorcycle?

I guess in the reverse shift aspect..But your not really shifting through a "H" plate pattern(diagram on gear ****). MotoGP shift would be cool though, but I don't think I'll ever need to hand out the door into a corner and shift on the apex exit! ...Why do a see picture Ken Block with no doors looking cool doing this..HAHA!!
