You and me both. In the past 12 months alone I've bought 4 cars, two of which I sold after two months. I should settle down

Congrats on the purchase! Gorgeous car

Thanks guys for the welcome - car has been great so far.

I told myself this would be my daily driver but it's tempting to get it track-ready, so I took it to GMG Motorsports last week, they recommended me KW v3 coil overs, race air filter, quicksilver exhaust for now. I might just go for it.

For now I just got my rims powdercoatwd (satin black), windows tinted, and took off that Ford Mustang GT sticker on the side.

A day after picking up my GT (I had my previous 20" Wheels installed from my prior Vantage before I picked up the GT) I noticed that the rear drivers side tire was low (the new Vantages show tire pressures dynamically on the information display)... sure enough there was a nail in the tire. Since then the tire has had a very slow leak, especially if parked for a few days. So I took it in yesterday assuming maybe a small leak from the installation (they needed to reinstall the tires to replace the inflation sensors) around the bead and told my tire place next to the office to put Nitrous to see if the leak would stop. Instead they found a second nail! The lesson is that I now will assume just because there is one nail, it might not be the only one. Also they did put Nitrous in all the tires and now the ride is much harsher, so in spring I'll probably go back to air.

When do we get a national system for making all of the construction material trucks pay us back for all of the tires? I'm so sick of roofing nails, machine screws (thank HVAC guys) and other tire slicing stuff on the roads (cycling may have made me extra sensitive). The clueless clowns causing it all have no idea and no incentive to clean up their crap. This issue really angers me and we're all just supposed to throw away $300 tires.

I know what you mean - maybe it's just me but this car is not meant for driving anywhere in big cities (Los Angeles in my case).

Basically, it's cars like this that make you get a truck so you can stop worrying about 18-wheelers, potholes, and railroad crossings.

Also, this Vantage.. every time I'm in this car I hit all the red lights, Prius's, and 18-wheelers. They all get in front of me.

This car is not even superfast, but it feels like way more of a caged animal in the city. Even more than my GTR did.

People ask me "how do you like it so far?" and I just know I've only used 20% of its capabilities.

I told myself all my track cars would need to be 'disposable', and that I'd never take a $100k car to the the track, but .. well, yeah.

You need to come drive on GMR and Angeles Crest. And yeah, most of central LA metro is no place for a car you love.

Thanks, yeah I do go to the canyons in the weekends. Azusa and Angeles Crest are my favorite, especially Upper Big Tujunga Canyon. That is pure bliss indeed.

What/where is GMR?

I'm down in south orange county but I drive up there for canyon roads when I get the chance. (Ortega Hwy is the only thing down here) I did just get new Michelin PSS so need to get a run in while the weather is still warm.

A friend in Pasadena with a 97 Viper will come out with me too sometimes.
