I purchased a new brushed stainless "Made in England" plaque to replace my scratched one on the sill trim. It is secured by two very small Philips head screws.
I can't seem to loosen the screws. Any advice?
Thanks

Probably Pozidriv, not Phillips, that's why you are having trouble? Can't begin to imagine using an impact driver for those small screws!

Im not suggesting he use an impact driver and a 6lb sledge to pound on it . Impact screwdrivers can be used just with a pound of your palm or just bearing down with you body weight sharply .
Pozidrive is a UK style of Phillips type screw with a different angle to the groves that make up the cross shape . The sill plate screws are just regular Phillips head .

Most screws are PZ on your Aston. Using a Phillips bit will eventually ruin the head (you'll wonder why your Phillips drivers keep camming out when you try to remove a stubborn screw). Check on line to learn the visual differences between the two styles.

Well, I feel dumb, but this now explains a lot about my forays and foibles regarding repairs to the AM.

Purchased a set of Pozidriv screwdrivers at Lowes.
Worked perfectly.
Changing the plaque took less than 1 minute.
