Need help plz

Hi
iam new registered member
just own an Aston Martin V8 vantage 4.3 L 2007

my problem as i just searched back on internet is common and famous

1- Emission service required ,.
2- tire system fault.

both come and disappear may be twice times every trip .

my questions :

under passenger sides gloves box , the system 4 lamps are flashing ,, is that means it must be changed >? and the 4 tire sensors are ok ?

if no ,, then how can i know which sensor need to be replaced ... i think colors are arranged wrong .

also about emission , iv cleaned the o2 sensors ,, and the same error came again ..

how i know which one need to be replaced ,, as i ordered new one and OBD2 scanner also ,

most appreciated
thanks

Hi, I also have a 2007 V8 Vantage and have had similar issues that were easy to fix.

If the 4 tire pressure lamps are flashing amber then that means the controller isn't communicating with all 4 of the tire sensors. Mine would do that all the time. 2 reasons I found - first, when starting the car, if you push the start button before the dash display finishes saying the system check is complete (or maybe before the Power Beauty Soul message finishes) then you will get TPMS faults. But the bigger issue for me was that the wiring connection to the control unit under the glove box was loose. Pushed that back together tightly and much better now. Also, the 4 lights will flash amber when first starting out, until the car is traveling faster than 10 mph, then they will go out as communication is established with the tire sensors. This whole TPMS system is more trouble than it's worth.

For the emission service message, on my car I needed to replace both the post-catalytic converter O2 sensors and I haven't had the message since. Cleaning them won't help. If you have access to an OBD2 scanner (a generic one will work fine, doesn't need to be anything special) to pull any error codes that would help a lot with diagnosing the problem.

I think the batteries on the sensors might be at end of life. On the Vantage - did you get the fuel cap replacement done? If you do not hear multiple clicks when tightening the cap it can trigger the emissions - old cap or the newer fix (from my experience on the 2007 Vantage I had).

i agree with Jeff 335i, the smart tire system is more trouble than its worth, i have
aftermarket wheels on my 2007 v8v ,with dead sensors (batteries),i just unplugged the unit under the glovebox and all dash errors went away, and never displayed again..
as for the service light, an OBDII scanner is a must, i had the same and told me it was
bank 1 and bank 2 02 sensors, changed them and all is good.......

Good info from Jeff-
My 07 DB 9 TPMS acted the same way. I eventually unplugged the SmarTire unit under the glove box. I don't have/get a low pressure reading from the dash. I do check my tire pressure regularly. You might also want to checked the age (DOT #) of your tires especially if you decide to disconnect the system. Good tires and proper pressure are cheap insurance.
As for the 02 sensors- if it were me & one really is bad, I'd replace both. If one went bad the other might not be far behind. Preventive maintenance.
Enjoy the car

Tim (AM tech formerly of DC, now in the Bay Area) made a plug-and-play defeat for the TPMS. Worked on my V8V, another V8V, and a DBS that I know of... PM me for info if you want one.

As for the emissions, there are tons of things that can trigger that. It's unfortunately a diagnostics-heavy process... do a search and you'll find lots of discussions about ways to chase down the problem.

On my car just bank 2 was bad, but I replaced them both following this same logic.
