Is running a 295/35/19 tyre on the rear of a V12V possible?

You can't...tire is 4.5% larger in diameter than the stock size 295/30/19, almost a 3mph difference at around 65mph, you would have to increase the size of the fronts to match to avoid fault lights, but regardless your speedo would still be off even with matching fronts..you'd have a better chance with 305/30/19 than 295/35/19. Not sure why you would want to though..295/35/19 is more rare and higher priced(list price shows $200/ea more) than 295/30/19 and 305/30/19..guessing you have these left over from a Carrera, just remember tires even though depth is good, have a lifespan of 6 years from build regardless of remaining depth..

Thanks Irish,
Have you tried this yourself? I saw a specialist mention it on another thread but wanted to ask around to see if anyone had done this.
I was trying to reduce the arch gap and stop the car from looking so jacked up. I would like to lower the car but only by 10mm so clearance is not reduced too much.
Now watching the Nitron thread with interest….

I've not put the 35's on a Vantage in rear..But I've had a Vantage with sport option size tires in front and regular Potenza's in the rear...had me think a few minutes for the first time I saw it...Now it happens more often and I find more clients doing it with issue popping up...they seem to all come from the same Ferrari local indie shop..
As for lowering, I'd go with the Velocity AP coils..they only lower 22mm,..you would have to ask Stuart if they fit a V12V though, ask if there slightly shorter too..if there shorter than OEM, you could always get a 10mm spacer made from polyurethane which would get you near the 10-12mm drop your looking for.
I wouldn't recommend going to low, I get a nice number of cars on H&R's..after a nice track day, the right rear halfshaft in-bound CV boot splits and flings grease everywhere...our parts dept. has yet to find a boot(nothing from A.M) so the entire shaft gets replaced at customer pay($$$$)..even if warranty is valid, concern was at fault of lowered springs so warranty refuses claim

I'm currently running 245/40R19 in front and 285/35R19 in rear. These are the same sizes found on the V8VS, so I stuck them on my '07. According to Tire Rack's specs, they're 26.7" outer diameter in front and 26.9" OD in rear. Not perfectly the same.
I was looking at using 255/40R19 front and 295/35R19 rear tires for my next set, but I'd need slightly wider wheels (0.5" wider at all four corners). According to Tire Rack, these are all the same OD at 27.1".
Before I get a new set of wheels and tires, I'll be redoing my suspension. Currently running H&R springs on the standard struts. I wouldn't be comfortable with a taller tire using the H&R springs, too much risk of rubbing. I'd probably be okay with them on the VelocityAP springs, though. I'm looking at coilovers (also watching the Nitron thread!) so it's a moot point for my setup but if you're starting from scratch, you could probably get away with the VAP springs and slightly taller tires.
Not sure how finicky Aston's traction control is, but I've put taller tires on 3 vehicles so far - my previous '05 STi, my current '06 4Runner, and my current '07 V8V. No issues with any of them. On track I have the traction control off so I'm not sure if it'll throw a tantrum when you're really pushing the car. Your speedo will read slightly off depending on the size you go with, so just keep that in mind. There are calculators online that will tell you the difference based on original-vs-new tire sizes.
As for CV boots... here's my original one:
The one that replaced it is from... a Ferrari F355! No issues yet, been running it for 13 months now including track days.

Thanks all, I did this and have driven around 100 miles without issue. All seems normal.
Im still running the factory recommended sizes front.
I need to decide if I like the look or not, the arch gap is definitely better and the car looks slightly lower rather than jacked up.
Just not sure if the tyres look unbalanced.
Undecided of Great Britain….

Im actually running PPS on 20" wheels 245/35ZR20 front (26.74 dia vs. stock 26.71) and 295/35ZR20 rear (28.12 dia vs 26.85 stock)... have run these on my 2009 Vantage no problems, not wheel well conflicts for about 2,000 miles and now running them on my 2015 GT with about 1,000 miles.

I prefer the look with the meatier tires versus lowering the car. Racecars usually have more rubber. I will be going to taller Pilot Super Sports when I wear through the OEM Bridgestones.

Have just ordered some 255/40/19 super sports for front so I am even.

Picts of the oversized tires (20" wheels) on my 09 and 2015
Below is the tires on both Vantges I owned... the 2009 Lake in background had smaller tires, the 2015 had the PSS (3rd picture)
