The best battery is one that stays hooked up to a battery tender when not in use.

It is a little more expensive on the front end, but is the best option to take weight out, increase life, and protect against dead battery.
isn't this the $700 or so battery?

Yes, in the almost 250lbs I have taken out of my Vantage over the past decade, it was the lowest $/lb.

I tried the AntiGravity and my '11 DB9 instantly hated it, going into protection modes about half the trips. I could barely get out of the neighborhood. I then went with a Duracell Ultra from Sam's Club, size H6, since downsizing two sizes is easy to do and sheds a little weight. The dimension around the mid section of the H batteries are all the same, only the length varies. Plus since I don't winter drive, I don't think I need quite as much CCA as the factory battery.

I remember you sharing this before. How long ago did you install and what size? I’ve had zero issues with my 40ah H6, but it’s in a V8 Vantage.

My battery weighs 11lbs and OEM was 54...

Last April. The Bosch that was the second battery (replaced by prior owner) was getting a little old (~'15?) and I was excited about losing the 40 lbs too. So I got one down one size to a H7. The new Duracell AGM I put in is an H6, so I went down two sizes in lead just to save what I could. I think only winter drivers need the H8. But I'm not a racer, so I didn't want to go all the way down to the Braille. The CCA is I think too low for the V12. Startup with the Antigravity was fine. It would just system crash after a few minutes and require you to pull over and do a restart. Can't have that.

Congrats on it working for you though. I'm trying them again in my restomod '87 Honda CRX project.

Antigravity do H7 in 40Ah and 60Ah here in UK, you may have other options. The 40Ah has 1500 cranking, the Bosch OEM only has 1020 cranking, but I wonder if the battery was able to push out enough power to start the V12, then when the alternator did its thing and tried to stuff all that electricity back into the battery it was a bit overwhelmed and a safety cut out operated? The 60Ah would probably be a better choice for the V12s, they have 1500 cranking
