Best Replacement Battery?

I see that the stock battery for a 2009 Vantage is a Varta 2R83-10655 -AA. When I look that up, it crosses over to several different suppliers. There is a Bosch replacement, an EXIDE replacement and a few others. I would like one that fits exactly (with appropriate vent) and has a few more CCA.

Does anyone got a good recommendation? If possible, please provide any details.

Thanks

You could go the lithium ion route. Way more power and a small fraction of the weight... The only downside is the cost.

Went with the Duracell Ultra Platinum Part#: SLI49AGM since the Bosch was not in stock at the time. Perfect fitment and works great

Is there not a possibility of fire using Lithium Iron batteries?
It is important to use a battery that has been maintained correctly during storage. Car batteries self discharge during storage and if not maintained/trickle charged they will have a shortened life span and reduced capacity.

I replaced the battery in my V12V a few weeks ago. Bosch has on that is the same size and specs as the original ... and yes, the vent is also in the same spot as the original Varta. My local Pep-Boys had one in stock. I replaced mine the same day I took out the original. Search for battery replacement and you find an informative thread with a "how-to" video on the removal/install.

OEM Varta battery is 53.5 lbs. I'm dropping in a Braille B3121 and it's cutting 30 lbs from that

The same, well not enough that a scale would notice, i.e. a fraction of an ounce. Weight only changes if you lose the water in the battery.
