Agreed.. On the option list... they should offer to ship you a similar ceiling light for your garage.
As for the transmission:
Aston Martin has at the very least offered if not base model spec'd automatic transmissions since the 70s. There is nothing out of character about a GT Aston Martin with an automatic transmission.
The DB7, DB9, DBS all sold more autos than manuals. It's part of the brand. Contemporary autos are brilliant. No, they're not up to track spec, but so what. The DB11 isn't really supposed to be a track day car, is it? I think it's great that the DB11 debuts with that 8sp ZF that everyone loves so much. It's a very good transmission that suits the car.
Should there be a manual option/variation? Sure, that might be a nice nod to the sporting bona fides lurking under that sexy chassis.
