How long do catylic converters last?

My Aston V8V has almost 21000 miles on it. I have been toying with the idea of putting 200 cel cats on it. I have heard that on modern cars that the cats should last 100,000 miles. The cars is stock now save the DBS wheels.

I believe the federal government requires original equipment cats be warranted for 80k miles and 7 years. On many cars they last longer than the rest of the car does.

I have 200 cell cats on my V8V (along with Velocity AP headers and ECU tune and RSC SuperSport muffler) and it is VERY loud.

In the real world, if your car is maintained properly, catalytic converters should last the life of the vehicle. Its not that unusual for repair shops to see cars with 200.00 plus miles with the original converter

Oh, wait - I didn't see that you said you already have 21000 miles on those things!

I suspect it is a dire safety hazard to have cats with that many miles on them, you definitely should replace them before something tragic happens! Do it for the children!
