Question Famous SRS light NEED HELP!!!

Hello everyone

Was wondering if I can get some assistance. Today I finally got my Autel 802 and I tried resetting the SRS light on an 07 DB9.

I used both a 2005 & 2006 Volvo XC90 and no luck.

I am getting 2 codes and I am wondering if anyone can help

0043 Side Impact protection (SIPS) bag, right front Capacitance too low
0114 Control module internal fault

Thanks again

I just had this issue also. I ended up removing the airbag sensor module and sending it out to MASrepair in Duluth, Georgia for repair. They notified me yesterday that it has been shipped and is on it's way back. You are welcome to follow my thread and see how it goes... Internal fault requires airbag sensor reset/repair

You might have better luck searching for codes for a Ford V6 as in the early stages of development the Aston V12 was in principle much the same as a pair of Ford V6's. Apparently this trick has proved useful to others on other forums...

BUT - this probably only applies to the drivetrain codes.

God luck! Cheers, Mark

The SRS system is on the chassis side of the OBDII and is a VOLVO sourced component. Setting the MD802 to read XC90 or S60 will access the fault codes if present but will not reset or clear a hardware problem.

0114 Control module internal fault - indicates hardware failure

0043 Side Impact protection (SIPS) bag, right front Capacitance too low - correlated message

I tried to find an illustration via the DCS online but found no joy (bad request). But seeing you are on a mission to remove something I figured I'd send this one along for motivational purposes instead. Anyway, there are two screws inside facing out at a right angle where the forward and aft panels meet. In the picture where you are holding up the center silver console they are located just below your fingers. I managed to loosen them and pull the forward edge of the panel up just enough to access the Airbag Sensor and remove the hardware.

Good luck my man!

This armrest Illustration may not be the correct effectivity for your VIN since it is for an 08+ but the mounting hardware below should be the same. Hope this helps.
