Fluid Level Check?

Just curious, how do you check the clutch/trans fluid on 07 vantage sport shift?

Also, how do you check the diff fluid level?

Coolant, brake fluid and engine oil fluid checks I am good with.

Thanks!

Clutch fluid is same as brake, transmission fluid doesn't really get checked, just changed based on time/miles.

so checking the level of the brake fluid reservoir is the same as the clutch fluid?

Not on a Sport Shift, there is a reservoir mounted on the left side of the transmission in front of the axle shaft. Special fluid required. Pentosin CHF 11s.

So, is there a way to check fluid level?

Also, any idea on the diff?

The clutch fluid reservoir should be around 3/4 mark. No leaks should be fine. Transmission check/fill plug on RH side. Same as most vehicles to check.

Sorry guys, still not clear on how to check the fluid on the transaxle.

Also, where does the gearbox oil go vs. the final drive oil?

Just want to be crystal clear for myself and others...

Gearbox + Differential/final drive = Transaxle . One fluid ,one plug ,one check . Take the plug out put your finger in and you should feel it barely below the plug opening or it may actially dribble out depending how level the car is .

So, why then are they two different fluid weights if it is one fill?

hi R
i think I have just the same problem to solve - just paid £2k to a uk dealer for a service and explicitly asked them to check power steering fluid - when checking myself later (on uk model it has a black daisy like wheel lid at front right - so opp side to oil change and diametrically opposite brake fluid) discover can see the base of the reservoir (has a strange ring showing like a polo mint) and typical Aston no upper or lower clear markings on the dipstick...so have no clue if it's correct level or not!
