Velocity AP GT4 Clutch and ECU Tune Review

Been a while since i have been on but i felt the need to write a review on these great products for other V8V owners.
My car is a 07 Vantage 6spd manual. Ive dealt with Stuart for many parts over the last number of years and have always been more that happy with his service and products.

The GT4 clutch and flywheel is a night and day difference over stock. My car had roughly 40k on it when we changed the clutch. Initial impressions now that i have about 750 miles on it are outstanding. The clutch has a significantly lighter feel than stock as well as the friction point is very easy to modulate. When you want to drive a little harder its very rewarding, it grabs hard without ever being harsh. You can tell the car revs much quicker and i have to say it does feel slightly quicker than before.

The ECU tune was preformed after about 500 miles on the clutch. Again huge improvement over stock. Power is improved throughout the rev range but mostly felt at 3-5k rpm. Along with the improved power and driveability the fuel economy has improved as well the throttle response is lightning fast.

In addition my car has High Flow Filters, Velocity AP Cats, Velocity AP Springs and a Velocity AP Sports Muffler.

Highly recommend all Velocity AP products and Stuarts service to anyone looking to upgrade their Aston's.

Cheers Cole.

Thanks for sharing. I initially didn't realize, but this clutch is a different product than the velocity ap organic clutch installed and reviewed by others on this site?

What are the differences between the organic clutch? Compared to stock, is using the reverse gear improved much?

I also have the twin plate clutch along with headers, cats, mid pipes, muffler, and tune. Completely transformed the car. Got the ecu last and it seemed to have the biggest impact. I have dynos on each stage of modification will share soon still need to do a post ecu tune dyno.

Maximilian is an unknown quantity at this point
Velocity offers indeed a GT4 Race Twin Plate Clutch besides the organic clutch OEM replacement. Can anyone explain the differences between both clutches (by experience?)?

Best,
Maximilian

VelocityAP

Just received my 200 cell cats and intake filters. Got the tuner mod a few months ago, (which alone feels great), they will send an updated tune to work with the new additions. Lightweight two-piece rotors and lightweight flywheel/clutch assembly next.
Thanks Stuart!

Outstanding quality.

Looks great!

Also thanks to Telum01 for the products and instructional videos.

Those look great! I've got the exhaust, tune, and rotors, looking forward to the clutch and flywheel myself!

Glad to be of service
