After procuring my first Aston about a month or two ago, i finally got a chance to put some miles on her. I took my lady on a trip from Nashville to Michigan. 1500 miles over 4 days. It was everything i thought it would be. Zero problems with the car, and surprisingly not too uncomfortable. Anyways, here's a few phone shots from the trip..
Heading north, my girlfriend wanted to climb things...
Got to say hi to my brand new Niece in Detroit!
No Detroit driveway is complete without an old american muscle car.
We stayed in a really old cottage in the woods by Lake Michigan. I lived here for a month about 10 years ago, it was pretty cool coming back.
South Haven, Mi- another spot where i lived as a kid. Beautiful place.
I'm a touring musician, had to stop by the old Gibson guitar factory in Kalamazoo, Mi. All of my Heritage Guitars are made there.
Great trip. Thanks for sharing.
I liked taking my '08 Vantage for road trips and I LOVE taking my Vantage S. People are sometimes surprised when I tell them how nice it is for long drives. What they don't know is that while the Vantage is no land yacht, it's fairly serene inside and the midrange power makes highway life unstressful. I'm taking off for the 5 hour drive to Santa Cruz tonight and I'm really sad that I'm taking the GTI instead (but wet wetsuits and sand are just over my limit for what insults I'll subject the S to).
Living life is such a great treasure. Even though our cars are only a small part life they can sometimes be that icing on the cake! Great pictures and glad you had a trip down memory lane!
