tinted windshield?

Has anyone ever tinted a windshield?

I am curious how the pillar pads are removed, etc. so my tint guy doesn't risk touching anything in the car while putting the tint in.

Oh, and the tint is a clear UV protectant used to help keep the dash safe on longer drives in the sun up here at altitude where the sun can be a bit intense.

Thanks in advance!

Its done all the time. If you want to take the A pillars out then do so. He will be spraying a water soap mixture to allow the film to move around a bit while he finalizes the position of it. The squeegee the water out.

Use Ceramic UV protection film, likely cost you several hundred for just the front. I was going to do mine, but will wait a year when i get back to the states. I am just doing 20% on all the others.

Ya, it's that spray mixture that concerns me with the headliner and dash...I don't want anything getting on that material that could leave a spot...

I don't think you need to remove the pillars. They should just cover everything

The windshield removes UV light, my glasses do not tint inside the car but get dark as soon as I exit.
Just my 2 Cent, maybe it saves you the hassle
