Wire help needed for my db9

While reinstalling the CD player, I saw a 2 wire connector labeled 'BOOT RELEASE' and it is not connected anywhere that I could see.
Was that an option for 07 DB9's to have a boot release in the center console near the convertible roof switch?

Funny you should mention that. I saw the same in my '06 Volante two weeks ago when I dismantled the dash to refurbish the wood. My suspicion is that it's a coupe-only feature, but I'd love to be wrong!

Yep! My 07 Coupe has an electrical boot release in the center console.

Volante uses the Convert Top switch in replace of the Boot switch spot in the center console. The harness for a Coupe and Volante are the same. If you plug the Boot connector into the Convert Top switch, that switch will now control the Boot.

That's interesting may be we should figure out a way to keep both features functional?

You could in theory keep both, just there's no spot on the center console to bolt in the boot switch on a volante. So either you cut up the trim and Jimmy the switch in. Or you extend the harness and install it somewhere else. You could extend the wires to your A-post lower area and install the switch in the knee bolster. Would be easier to cut leather/plastic and make it look nice versus trying to fit the switch into the center trim.
